She is so proud and honoured to be able to champion and spread awareness about such a wonderful charity.

Friends with Dignity is a national not-for-profit organisation providing assistance to men, women and children who have been displaced by domestic violence. Their dedicated team of volunteers work with registered referral agencies to turn houses into welcoming sanctuaries for people escaping domestic violence. Those leaving refuge or violent homes usually have no belongings or financial resources to rebuild their lives. To assist with alleviating their fear of not being able to financially provide for their family. Friends with Dignity aim to ensure survivors have the household items required to live with dignity by working with the community to source pre-loved and new household items. These items are then placed into the survivor’s new house by a team of volunteers, transforming it into a safe home (a ‘sanctuary’).

Together with the community they give people the dignity of a home to call their own.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1494400377260{padding-right: 35px !important;padding-left: 35px !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”286″ img_size=”full”][vc_btn title=”Visit Friends With Dignity” color=”primary” align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1509977899703{background-color: #1e73be !important;}” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.friendswithdignity.org.au||target:%20_blank|rel:nofollow” button_block=”true”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”5px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1494400700674{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;background-color: #e8e8e8 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_row_inner equal_height=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1456148051953{margin-top: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”69″ img_size=”full”][vc_btn title=”Visit Soles4souls” color=”primary” align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1509977545283{background-color: #1e73be !important;}” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fsoles4souls.com.au%2Fabout%2F||target:%20_blank|” button_block=”true”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1494400377260{padding-right: 35px !important;padding-left: 35px !important;}”][vc_custom_heading text=”SOLES4SOULS” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%230171b4″ google_fonts=”font_family:Hind%3A300%2Cregular%2C500%2C600%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Supporting charities and giving back to the community is something dear to Suzi’s heart.

Soles4souls Australia was established in 2011. They collect donations from the public of gently worn and new shoes for men, women and children and transport them to those in Australia and around the world who have none. Supporting those who are disadvantaged because they do not own shoes or have inadequate footwear. Having a pair of shoes allows adults to go to work and children to go to school and get an education. Donating shoes saves lives!

For nine years she was responsible for creating the chin wigs and outfits for the World’s Greatest Shave upside down talking chin characters, who star in the Leukaemia Foundation’s national, yearly, advertising and fundraising campaign. Suzi has created dozens of chin characters over the years. Her talent in costume and makeup has been an asset to the organisation, with the popular campaign raising millions of dollars every year to help find a cure for blood cancer.

Donating her time as a hair and makeup artist to give girls a special treat to add to their make a wish experience, is how Suzi supports this organisation that is in its 30th year of operation and has granted over 8000 wishes to children all over Australia.

Look Good Feel Better is dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance-related side-effects caused by cancer treatment. Women, men and teens participate in a practical workshop which covers skincare, make-up and headwear demonstrations, leaving them empowered and ready to face their cancer diagnosis with confidence.

The program relies heavily on volunteers who donate their time and expertise to deliver workshops across Australia as they receive NO government funding.
